Job description

About Ola Sol

Ola Sol is a 93-point, Wine Enthusiastrated agave wine crafted for the modern margarita: confident, dry, and built for the way people actually drink today. We're not another happy-hour promo brand. Think less "free samples," more "why isn't this in my fridge already." Ola Sol is already on 325+ shelves across California, and we're looking for the right people to bring that experience to life in front of shoppers.

The Role

We're hiring Brand Ambassadors to run in-store tastings at retail partners (Total Wine, grocery, and specialty stores) across California. You'll be the face of Ola Sol for a few hours at a time, pouring samples, telling our story, and turning curious shoppers into customers. This isn't about reciting a script. It's about genuine, confident conversation that reflects who we are: elevated, easygoing, a little dry-witted, never salesy.

What You'll Do
  • Set up and run tasting stations at assigned retail locations (table, signage, sampling cups, product)
  • Pour and serve samples responsibly, in compliance with California ABC regulations
  • Educate shoppers on what Ola Sol is, how it's made, and why it's a better way to make a margarita
  • Drive trial and on-the-spot purchases during your shift
  • Track and report sampling metrics (samples poured, bottles sold, shopper feedback) after each shift
  • Represent the brand's tone and aesthetic polished, warm, never pushy
  • Maintain a clean, professional, inviting station throughout the shift
What You Bring
  • Must be 21+ (California ABC requirement for pouring alcohol)
  • Current RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) certification, or willingness to obtain before first shift (we'll point you to the state-approved course)
  • Reliable transportation to assigned store locations across the San Diego / SoCal area
  • Prior experience in brand ambassador, tasting, hospitality, or retail sales roles preferred but not required
  • Comfortable initiating conversation with strangers: You're outgoing, articulate, genuinely warm
  • Professional appearance and punctuality
  • Weekend availability required (Thursday-Sunday shifts most common); some flexibility for weekday evening events
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus, not required
Why Ola Sol
  • Competitive hourly pay plus performance bonus
  • Flexible, part-time schedule that works around school or another job
  • Be part of a fast-growing, LA-based beverage brand from the ground up
  • Work product and swag included

The pay range for this role is expected to be $22-28 hourly. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications. Certain roles may be eligible for additional compensation, including stock option awards, bonuses, and merit increases. Additionally, certain roles have the opportunity to receive sales commissions that are based on the terms of the sales commission plan applicable to the role.
