Job description

About the Role:
Caliber Ag Solutions LLC is looking for a motivated Soil Sampling Technician to join our team in Columbia, MO. This is a hands-on, field-based role where you'll play a vital part in helping farmers and agricultural producers make data-driven decisions. If you love the outdoors and have a passion for agriculture, this is the opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:
  • Collect soil samples from agricultural fields following established protocols
  • Accurately record field data, GPS coordinates, and sample identification using field software
  • Operate and maintain soil sampling equipment, probes, and related tools
  • Package, label, and prepare soil samples for laboratory submission
  • Navigate fields using GPS technology and digital mapping tools
  • Communicate daily with supervisors regarding field progress and scheduling
  • Follow all safety protocols while working in varying field and weather conditions
Requirements:
  • Background or interest in agronomy, agriculture, or a related field preferred
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions for extended periods
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Basic proficiency with GPS devices, tablets, smartphones.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow sampling procedures accurately
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently in the field
  • Physical ability to walk long distances and perform sampling tasks
