Job Summary:
Sentar Inc. is an employee-owned company focused on cybersecurity, intelligence, analytics, and systems engineering. They are seeking a Software Engineer to support the U.S. Air Forceโ€™s Ground Based Strategic Deterrent program, responsible for developing and maintaining complex software systems based on documented requirements.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements.
โ€ข Work individually or as part of a team.
โ€ข Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and document test results.
โ€ข Resolve software problem reports.
โ€ข Utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
โ€ข Provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software tradeoffs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain SAP access; Active Secret clearance with investigation/adjudicated within the past 6 years.
โ€ข Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline.
โ€ข Experience in software development in at least one object-oriented programming language such as Java or C++.
โ€ข Experience with UI design and development, or experience Interpreting complex algorithms and requirements for implementation.
โ€ข Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering languages (SysML/UML) and concepts.
Preferred:
โ€ข Proficiency in Agile, C/C++, JAVA/JS expertise and real-time processing including: processes threads, scheduling, synchronization mechanisms and memory management required.
โ€ข Experience in the use of Atlassian tools
โ€ข Experience with full software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug and maintenance required
โ€ข Experience with JIRA/Confluence
โ€ข Experience with safety critical and nuclear critical software development (DO-178C, AFMAN 91-119, DO-330, etc.)
โ€ข Familiarity with a structured process driven software development environment including peer reviews of all work products, using a revision control system, defect tracking and build release practices required
โ€ข Experience with development drivers and middleware (RTOS, Linux and/or VxWorks) and anti-tampering (cryptographic, secure comms, logging, SW deployment) is preferred
โ€ข Experience with Git products.
โ€ข Experience with applied automated testing techniques including unit and integration testing.
โ€ข Experience with test framework/application and system verification
