A Corporate Audit Services (IT Audit) Management Trainee position in the Audit department offers a dynamic and engaging opportunity for individuals eager to kickstart their career in auditing within the transportation industry. This role is designed to immerse candidates in various auditing processes, risk assessments, and compliance checks, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of operational and financial practices across the company. Trainees will work closely with experienced auditors, gaining hands-on experience and insights into railway operations and management complexities. This is a full-time position located in Fort Worth, TX. For certain positions, including this one, employees can work one day per week remotely. Our leaders also foster a culture where work life balance, which requies flexibility for when life happens, is important and respected.

Travel is minimal, must have reliable transportation to and from work.

Relocation is required if located more than 50 miles from the location.

Training will start with a week orientation in Fort Worth, Texas, offering a company overview and networking with leaders. This will be followed by support on ongoing projects and practical training with the department.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct analysis and testing as part of audits. Management Trainees audit various information technology processes including application development, infrastructure, telecommunications, positive train control, security, and operational technologies. Audits can also be focused on the revenue/finance and subsidiary governance processes, or operational processes.

Manage work assignments and timelines.

Develop detailed test procedures that address audit objectives and significant risks, under supervision.

Interpret and evaluate audit evidence.

Document work performed with logical conclusions and appropriate audit evidence and support.

Present audit results, both in written and verbal formats.

Possess leadership, teamwork, clear communication, adaptability, and resilience to overcome obstacles and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.

Daily work is conducted in an indoor office environment.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States and will be at least eighteen (18) years old upon hire.

  • Prior intern experience or less than 3 years of work experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or business related or a related field.
