Job Description As a Software Engineering Intern, you will work alongside experienced software engineers to design, develop, test, deploy, and support applications that drive Medline's Warehouse Management Systems and E-Commerce platforms. This role provides exposure to both front-end and back-end development, allowing interns to contribute across the software development lifecycle while collaborating in an agile, team-oriented environment. Examples of Projects and Responsibilities Develop and implement new features for business and e-commerce applications. Design, code, test, deploy, and support software solutions. Analyze, debug, and resolve software defects and production issues. Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards and best practices. Develop and execute unit tests and support automated testing efforts. Collaborate with team members to improve existing applications and software development processes. Write technical documentation to support software maintenance and usability. Analyze business requirements and contribute to solution design discussions. Work closely with fellow interns and Medline team members in a collaborative, professional environment. Qualifications Rising senior or junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field. Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred. Experience with Java and/or JavaScript through coursework, projects, or internships. Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design concepts. Exposure to modern front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, or Next.js. Familiarity with databases and SQL. Experience with Git or other version control systems. Knowledge of frameworks and tools such as Spring, Hibernate, Maven, Selenium, Jasmine, or Karma is a plus. Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and adapt quickly to new technologies.
