Job Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid)
Job Type: Contract

Job Description:
  • Supports Quality Assurance activities for the LAMBS modernization project, transitioning legacy applications to a modern web-based platform.
  • Participates in requirements, design, project meetings, and system walkthroughs to understand business and technical requirements.
  • Develops, maintains, and executes test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
  • Performs functional, integration, regression, system, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Works closely with Business Analysts, developers, project managers, vendors, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve testing issues.
  • Reviews business and technical requirements to ensure they are complete, clear, and testable.
  • Prepares test data and validates application results against business requirements.
  • Identifies, documents, tracks, and retests application defects through resolution.
  • Provides testing status, risks, issues, and recommendations to project teams and management.
  • Maintains QA documentation, test evidence, defect logs, and project documentation.
  • Supports production validation, application releases, upgrades, and change management activities.
  • Provides technical guidance and support to junior QA team members.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve QA processes, testing methodologies, tools, and automation.
Requirement:
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience with DevSecOps practices and technologies. Required: 5 years
  • Experience performing software testing or working with testing tools. Preferred
  • Experience developing and executing test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
  • Experience with functional, integration, regression, system, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Experience reviewing business and technical requirements and translating them into test cases.
  • Experience with defect identification, tracking, remediation, and retesting.
  • Experience working with developers, Business Analysts, Project Managers, vendors, and business stakeholders.
  • Experience preparing test data and validating application results.
  • Experience maintaining QA documentation, testing evidence, and defect logs.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
