Job: QA Test Automation Engineer

Location (if onsite/hybrid): Candidates must be local to Newark, DE and be willing to go onsite daily.

Expected duration: 6 months from candidate's start date

Interview process: 2 interviews with Client - 1 virtual technical interview, and 1 onsite interview-must be local

Required skills, experience, etc.: 3+ years of QA automation experience, hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks, experience with automated functional, regression, and integration testing, familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments, strong troubleshooting and communication skills, and ability to work onsite in Delaware.

Experience with robotics, embedded systems, or CI/CD tools is a plus.

Job Description

We are looking for a QA Test Automation Engineer to develop and maintain automated testing solutions, execute quality assurance activities, and ensure software applications meet functional, integration, and performance requirements. This position will be a contract and onsite in Newark, DE.

What You'll Do

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing

Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and quality assurance team members to understand requirements and translate them into test scenarios and test cases

Execute automated and manual testing cycles and document test results

Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot test execution failures

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, story refinement, daily standups, and retrospectives

Maintain test documentation including test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, and testing procedures

Monitor and report on test coverage, quality metrics, and overall testing progress

Support quality assurance best practices and contribute to continuous process improvements

Work closely with project teams to ensure software releases meet established quality standards

What You'll Need

Required:

3+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on test automation

Experience designing, building, and maintaining automated test frameworks

Experience developing automated test scripts using common scripting or programming languages

Experience with defect tracking and test case management tools

Experience executing functional, regression, integration, and system testing

Knowledge of Agile and Scrum development methodologies

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
