Job description

Reporting to the Human Resources Superintendent, you will be part of the Human Resources (HR) Department. You will be the initial Human Resources role supporting the Upper Beaver Gold project.  You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment. 

  • Collaborate with Macassa HR, Regional HR and key Operations stakeholders to support the growth and integration of the Upper Beaver Gold project; 

  • Provide full HR support to the Upper Beaver Gold project, including employee relations, onboarding, application of HR policies, legal and company compliance, cyclical HR programming and performance management; 

  • Work closely with the centralized recruitment team; 

  • Ensure appropriate workforce planning, prioritization and a results driven approach to support staffing requirements for the project; 

  • Ensure employment commitments of Partner Agreements are followed and the employment and development of Indigenous Peoples is maximized; 

  • Monitor and report on key HR related milestones for the project; 

  • Support the implementation and integration of corporate and region-wide HR requirements and new initiatives, such as new or updated company policies and global HR programming. 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related discipline;  

  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or Leader (CHRL) designation preferred; 

  • 7-10 years' experience in a senior HR role leading team of HR professionals, with at least 5 years' in an underground mining environment; 

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS software, SuccessFactors experience preferred. 

Your Work Schedule: 

  • Schedule:40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday at our Upper Beaver Gold Project in Dobie, ON.
