Job description

Job Title: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
Location: Okemos, MI - Hybrid (minimum of 4 days a week in Okemos, MI)

Mode of Interview: First Round In-Person required
Required Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience using Playwright with TypeScript for UI and API automation.
  • Strong TypeScript programming fundamentals.
  • Experience designing maintainable automation-not simply creating test scripts.
  • Experience testing modern web applications, preferably Angular.
  • Experience testing Java-based REST APIs.
  • Strong understanding of HTTP, REST, JSON, authentication, response validation, and negative API testing.
  • SQL experience for backend data validation, preferably with Oracle.
  • Experience executing automated tests through Jenkins or another CI/CD platform.
  • Experience with Git-based source control and collaborative development workflows.
  • Ability to diagnose failures across the UI, API, database, test code, test data, and environment layers.
  • Experience with exploratory and manual testing in addition to automation.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate defects and quality risks clearly.
