Your Impact:
Fortify on Demand (FoD) is cloud-based Application security platform portal, recognized as industry leader by Gartner MQ. FoD delivers application security as a service, providing customers with the security testing, vulnerability management, expertise, and support needed to easily create, supplement, and expand a Software Security Assurance program.
We are looking for a passionate Senior Development Manager for Fortify on Demand (FoD), a leading Application Security SaaS platform. This role is responsible for leading cross-functional engineering teams, ensuring the delivery, scalability, and reliability of secure software solutions, and driving innovation in application security offerings.
What the role offers:
  • Lead and manage engineering teams responsible for the Fortify on Demand platform.
  • Own end-to-end software development lifecycle including planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and operations.
  • Drive secure software development practices and ensure alignment with application security standards.
  • Collaborate with product management, security research, and operations teams to deliver high-quality SaaS solutions.
  • Ensure platform scalability, performance, availability, and reliability.
  • Support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
  • Manage technical roadmap and align team priorities with business objectives.
  • Mentor and develop team members; foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage technical debt and continuously improve system architecture.
  • Coordinate incident response and ensure timely resolution of production issues.

What you need to succeed:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong experience in SaaS product development and cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience with application security concepts such as SAST, DAST, or software composition analysis.
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., .NET, HTML/CSS/JS) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience with agile methodologies and engineering best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with Fortify products or application security platforms.
    • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and security automation.
    • Experience managing distributed or global teams.
    • Familiarity with compliance standards such as OWASP, SOC2, or ISO 27001.
  • Leadership Expectations:
    • Build, lead, and retain high-performing engineering teams.

Compensation: At OpenText, we offer a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing. Salary Range: $164,800.00 - $247,200.00; Depending on the candidate's education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
California Residents: The pay range above is a reasonable estimate of salary based on pay scale, candidate experience, skills, and education. In addition to the comprehensive benefits noted above, the role may be eligible for bonus or commissions.
