Description
PCT Ebeam and Integration designs and builds custom industrial equipment and systems. Our System Integration team assists our industrial clients throughout the U.S. with PLC programming, coordinated drive systems, legacy upgrades, safety upgrades, and custom machinery.
Summary
The System Integration Sales Engineer contributes directly to the achievement of the company's goals for revenue growth and profitability by identifying system, project, and account sales opportunities and securing customer orders. Researches and contacts potential new customers. Develops project estimates, proposals and supporting information for customers to use in justifying their purchase decision in our favor. Updates sales tracking using customer relationship management software.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Develops and maintains strong relationships with clients to build customer trust and ensure their satisfaction.
  2. Engages with customers to understand their technical needs, challenges, and requirements.
  3. Pursues new System Integration sales opportunities through direct customer contact and interactions. Leads may come from PCT colleagues (Account Engineers, Project Managers, Engineers, etc.), suppliers, industry contacts, or promotional activities.
  4. Negotiates purchase agreements and books orders consistent with PCT EBI profitability goals.
  5. Provides support to customers by responding to requests for quotes, delivery schedules, and budgetary cost estimates.
  6. Prepares presentations with supporting details to address customer needs and provides compelling reasons to purchase PCT equipment and services.
  7. Works with PCT teammates to prepare estimates and custom system concepts.
  8. Achieves a strong technical and process understanding of our System Integration offerings. Understands potential customers processes. Knowledgeable of electrical and mechanical system integration.
  9. Maintains sales tracking details using customer relationship management software.
  10. Supports and participates in company promotional activities including trade shows, customer hospitality events and industry organizations. May present at trade shows and publish articles in industry publications.

Requirements
A bachelor's degree in engineering and two plus years experience is preferred. Business-to-business sales experience is preferred. Basic knowledge of electrical/mechanical theory. Thorough knowledge of project methodology, technical standards, and industry standards. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM and other enterprise software.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Strong grammar and writing skills, strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to respond to common and unique inquiries from customers, co-suppliers, or members of the business community. Effective communication skills within the company and project teams, including the use of e-mail and voicemail.
Frequent travel to customer sites and/or co-suppliers is required, including some overseas travel. Current driver's license and passport required, or ability to acquire such documents.
