Position Type: Internship

Location: 900 South Capital of Texas Highway, Austin, Texas 78746 (Onsite)

Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per week

Employment Duration: Temporary/Seasonal (8/17/2026 - 12/11/2026)

Compensation: $15.00/hour

Job Purpose:

The Accounting Intern will gain hands-on exposure to core accounting operations by shadowing and assisting with reconciliation, verification of financial records and transactions, and general bookkeeping. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to help maintain account balances, financial statements, the general ledger, and related reporting, all while maintaining strict confidentiality. The successful candidate will bring competent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a genuine interest in learning how an accounting team operates day to day.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile incoming and outgoing transactions to ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Payroll Deposits: Deposit an average of 50 payroll checks daily.
  • Document Organization: Organize files such as receipts and other incoming documents.
  • Transaction Recording: Record deposits and other transactions in QuickBooks and other reporting software.
  • Research & Data Entry: Assist with research, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
  • Team Collaboration: Learn how to work as part of an accounting team to compile and analyze information, track data, and support both accounting and operations.
  • Audit Support: Assist with external audits as needed.
  • Compliance: Help ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance with internal policies.
Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in an accredited degree program
  • Pursuing a major in Business Administration & Management, Finance & Financial Management, Economics, or Accounting
  • Must have current U.S. work authorization
  • No prior professional experience required
