About This Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to learn the craft of high-conviction, market-moving research from the ground up; building financial models, shaping investment theses, and supporting research that regularly drives headlines and institutional client decisions.

This role is ideal for a sharp, driven early-career professional who wants more than a back-office modeling job, someone who wants a front-row seat to how differentiated research gets built, published, and delivered to the Street.

What You Will Do

  • Build, update, and maintain detailed financial models across the Software coverage universe
  • Conduct company, industry, and competitive due diligence to support differentiated research calls
  • Assist in the timely preparation and publication of research reports and notes
  • Track earnings, industry data, and company disclosures to keep models and theses current
  • Help prepare materials for client meetings, conferences, and expert network sessions
  • Interact with corporate management teams, the internal sales force, and institutional clients
  • Monitor news flow, competitor coverage, and industry trends to help identify differentiated angles
  • Support the senior analyst's media and public-facing work, including prep for TV appearances and press engagements
  • Provide general research support and take on additional projects as assigned
  • Perform other tasks and duties as required and assigned

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university; degrees or coursework in finance, computer science, or a related technical field are a plus
  • 1+years of relevant experience in financial services, equity research, or a related analytical field
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with advanced Excel proficiency
  • Genuine interest in and curiosity about the Software industry and technology markets
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and a self-starter mentality
  • Comfort working closely with a high-visibility, media-facing analyst and adapting to a fast-moving public profile
