Quality Assurance Analysts are responsible for ensuring quality across team/domain specific applications. This is accomplished through: software/web testing; evaluating, and approving of development tasks as completed for their team/domain; developing, modifying and executing software strategies and test plans; analyzing and writing test standards and procedures; maintaining documentation of test results to assist in debugging; and modification of software.

The Digital Development Quality Assurance Analyst position is responsible for adhering to standardized QA process, policies and documentation standards, overseeing all aspects of product and project testing and test environment. This position will work with a team consisting of Architects, System Analysts, Product Owners, Delivery Managers, and the Vendors. In addition, this position will collaborate with teams across the enterprise and will also work across multiple timezones to support business needs.

ROLE

  • Designs, develops, and executes software test strategies, test plans, and test scripts.

  • Analyzes relevant business content and participates in requirement gathering sessions providing input on requirement and design documents, assessing requirements for testability, clarity, purpose, inherent ambiguity, contradictory functions, and implementation.

  • Develops, documents, and leads the Defect Management process.

  • Ensures test cases are traceable to originating story/requirement and those tests fully test feature requirements and/or user story acceptance criteria.

  • Manages defects appropriately by assigning, monitoring, and providing timely communication through the defect lifecycle.

  • Conducts QA risk management process throughout the test plan phase defining and differentiating between risk, defect, and issue.

  • Assists teammates in growing and developing the skills necessary to grasp application concepts and tool suite.

  • Identifies and resolves problems often anticipating issues before they occur or before they grow; develops and evaluates options and implements solutions.

  • Confirms accuracy and completeness of functional, integration, system, end to end, and acceptance test plans.

  • Executes manual software tests of complex Product Information Management and Product Catalog software systems.

  • Executes and validates test cases for Product Information Management system.

  • Participates in requirements and use case reviews.

  • Participates in the defect triage process, provides reports on defect tracking, and escalates technical issues as needed.

  • Creates and gains project approval on project test plans.

  • Oversees or generates all QA-related documentation.

  • Provides accurate estimates for QA resources and testing schedules.

  • Ensures adherence to standardized QA policies, processes, and documentation standards.

  • Coordinates in-house, external, and UAT testing and certification processes.

  • Collaborates with the development teams to resolve defects uncovered during testing cycles.

  • Attends daily stand up meetings and provides testing status.

  • Creates Daily and weekly QA status reports.

  • Hosts defect triage meetings with all concerned stakeholders.

  • Seeks opportunities to automate, document, share, educate, and improve processes where appropriate.

  • Works well independently and in a team environment.

  • Follows standards in accordance with company policy and regulation.

REQUIRED

  • Minimum 10 years' software quality assurance experience.

  • Familiarity with test management tools such as ALM, ADO, and JIRA.

  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to produce effective software test plans and test cases.

  • Strong knowledge of Agile, SDLC, and SQA methodologies.

  • Strong knowledge on Online retail and Product management domain.

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with others.

  • Ability to learn quickly and independently.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Able to work effectively and produce consistent results with a minimum of supervision. Self-motivated, responsible, conscientious, and detail-oriented.

  • Able to work well under pressure and handle crisis situations professionally.

  • Ability to easily adapt to a rapidly changing work environment.

  • Scheduling flexibility to meet the needs of the business.

  • Experience with:

    • Playwright and Postman tools.

  • Experience testing in one or more of the following environments:

    • Distributed system environment.

  • Degree in computer science or related technical field preferred.
