Job DetailsJob Location: Sparks, NV 89434Position Type: Full Time

Key Role Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Create and manage Project-Specific Quality Plans; assign accountability and ensure live updates as projects evolve.
  • Risk Mitigation: Develop and oversee Water Intrusion Plans and Major Quality Issue logs to preemptively address project vulnerabilities.
  • Operational Oversight: Lead Quality Support for your assigned group, interpreting owner and government requirements to ensure field and office staff remain in full compliance.
  • Reporting & Communication: Prepare Project Quality Status Reports for monthly reviews and utilize internal QA tools to detail compliant vs. non-compliant conditions for superintendents and subcontractors.
  • Constructability & Review: Perform QA constructability reviews and certify submittals for accuracy on regional and national projects.
  • Training & Mentorship: Design and conduct quality-related training programs for internal teams and external partners; provide direct guidance to junior team members.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in national initiatives (Manual updates, Quality University) and foster a culture of quality through committee meetings and trend reporting.
  • Field Presence: Serve as the onsite quality representative when needed, conducting warranty investigations and partnering with teams for subcontractor performance evaluations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Technical Expertise: Advanced ability to read drawings, specifications, and building codes. Deep knowledge of material/field testing and QA procedures for diverse construction conditions.
  • Precision: High level of accuracy in work execution with the ability to identify non-compliant conditions and investigate effective corrective measures.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills with the ability to deliver professional presentations to stakeholders and business partners.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to build robust relationships with owners, manufacturer reps, and third-party consultants.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in MS Office and internal QA reporting software.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelorโ€™s degree in construction management, engineering, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Experience: 10+ years of construction QA/QC experience of similar scale and complexity. At least 5 years of experience managing QA/QC functions in a similar capacity.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of civil, architectural, mechanical and electrical work. Must have proven expertise with a broad range of general construction and inspection processes and testing protocols/procedures (including ASTM, ANSI, APWA, ACI).
