Job description

QA Manager

We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven QA Manager with 6+ years of experience in quality assurance and test automation. The QA Manager will lead the QA team and drive the overall testing strategy, ensuring that all deliverables meet quality standards and align with project goals. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with tools such as LoadRunner, Cypress, Gherkin, Splunk, and Azure DevOps, and is adept at overseeing both manual and automated testing practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define and execute the overall QA strategy, test plans, and test cases to ensure product quality across all stages of development.
  • Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, assigning tasks, reviewing work, and providing performance feedback.
  • Collaborate with developers, project managers, and business analysts to define acceptance criteria, test requirements, and project quality goals.
  • Oversee automated and manual testing efforts, including functional, regression, load, performance, and security testing.
  • Utilize Cypress and Gherkin for behavior-driven testing and UI test automation.
  • Conduct performance/load testing using LoadRunner and monitor application behavior via Splunk to identify defects and performance bottlenecks.
  • Integrate testing pipelines into Azure DevOps for continuous testing and deployment (CI/CD).
  • Ensure traceability of test cases to business requirements and maintain thorough documentation.
  • Drive defect management processes, ensure timely bug tracking and resolution, and support root cause analysis.
  • Stay current with emerging QA trends, tools, and best practices and continuously improve test strategies and processes.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings and project reviews to report on quality metrics and risks.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in software QA, including 2+ years in a QA leadership or management role.
  • Proven experience with:
    • Cypress, Gherkin (BDD), and other automation frameworks
    • LoadRunner for load and performance testing
    • Splunk for application monitoring and log analysis
    • Azure DevOps for test management, CI/CD integration, and defect tracking
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and QA best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Must hold ISTQB Advanced Level Certification, Six Sigma Certified or equivalent

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with additional test tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, JMeter)
  • Understanding of API testing and service virtualization
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
