Role

Lead and oversees Global Finance Technology - Quality Assurance Automation in Toronto, Canada ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

What will we expect from you?

  • Be part of the customer focused culture mindset that helps to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Create and implement detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client's needs, while being cost effective.
  • Monitor debugging process results and define correction actions; Track quality assurance metrics; Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Contributes to maintaining an environment in which the team pursues effective and efficient operations, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
  • Make significant contributions to attaining a high-performance environment.
  • Fosters a solid working relationship with all members in the QA organization.
  • Shares knowledge and best practices across the organization.
  • Develop reuseable automation scripts that will reduce cost, timelines and improve efficiencies across the organization. Other duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring to Succeed

 

  • Strong knowledge and experience of software QA methodologies, tools and processes both automated and Manual;
  • Expertise in SQL, JAVA, Selenium, Cucumber.
  • Automated testing tools are critical as you lead the automation process
  • working cohesively with testers and developers to produce nothing short of high-quality work in exciting high-profile projects to put quality products to market.
  • Proven work experience in software development;
  • Proven work experience in software quality assurance;
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases;
  • Experience with writing simple or complex SQL queries for data validation.
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing; 
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools;
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting;
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process;
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
  • Demonstrable, practical hands-on experience with using HP ALM / JIRA.
  • Strong communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to resolve escalated issues effectively.
  • Spanish is nice to have.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple competing priorities.
