Job description

Short-Term Consulting Engagement
We're looking for an experienced Software QA Consultant to help us assess and improve how quality assurance fits into our software development process.
We're a small SaaS company with an established development team and a QA process that is currently heavily manual and creating bottlenecks in our development workflow.
What You'll Help Us Do
  • Assess our current QA process, tools, roles, and development workflow.
  • Identify the biggest gaps, bottlenecks, and areas of unnecessary manual work.
  • Recommend QA best practices appropriate for a small SaaS development team.
  • Identify opportunities for test automation, stronger coverage, and earlier quality checks.
  • Help build the initial framework, processes, and documentation.
  • Create a prioritized roadmap for continued improvement.

What We're Looking For
  • Experience with QA management or technical leadership.
  • Experience with enterprise SaaS development and testing.
  • Expertise in building and improving QA processes.
  • Expertise in test automation strategy and tooling.

Engagement
This will begin as a focused consulting engagement to assess our current state and recommend a path forward. Depending on the findings and mutual fit, the engagement may expand into hands-on support implementing the recommended framework, automation, processes, and documentation.
Location: Remote (Pacific Time Zone)
Duration: 4 weeks (Estimated)
