Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer Location: Redmond, Washington Type: Contract Compensation: $65.00 - $73.00/hr Contractor Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remote

Overview Join a global leader in medical technology and manufacturing as a Quality Engineer supporting critical product quality, supplier quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. This contract role offers the opportunity to collaborate across operations, engineering, and supplier teams to investigate quality issues, drive corrective actions, and ensure compliance in a highly regulated environment. Ideal for a hands-on quality professional who thrives on problem-solving, process improvement, and making a direct impact on products that improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection to ensure product quality and functionality.
  • Analyzes reports and defective products to determine trends and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborates with supplier representatives on quality problems, ensuring effective corrective actions and contributing to supplier quality improvement programs.
  • Works independently using judgement in applying professional expertise, with minimal supervision.
  • Works closely with Operations and business functions to ensure quality performance of products and processes.
  • Addresses top quality issues through collaboration with internal teams and suppliers, managing Non-Conformance (NC) and Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA) records in Trackwise.
  • Supports manufacturing complaint investigations and product field actions.
  • Investigates and disposes of internal non-conforming products within MRB, issuing NCs as appropriate.
  • Communicates with suppliers regarding non-conformances, escalating Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) as needed.
  • Executes and manages Supplier Initiated Change Requests (SICRs), assessing and approving changes in collaboration with cross-function teams.
  • Supports manufacturing transfers to/from other facilities, executing relevant quality activities.
  • Identifies and executes opportunities for supplier part certification.
  • Engages in process improvements and validation activities, including developing procedures and reviewing validation qualifications.
  • Maintains KPIs to monitor process and product quality, analyzing trends and initiating appropriate actions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s of Science degree, strongly preferred in Engineering.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in quality assurance or related field.
  • Strong critical thinking and “out of the box” thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
