About the Role
Verkada is looking for a Mobile Software Engineering intern to join our team for an exciting and challenging internship. Verkada is looking for an Mobile Engineering intern to join our team for an exciting and challenging internship. As part of the Mobile Engineering team, you will collaborate cross functionally to enable a native mobile experience in both our existing and new iOS and Android applications, enabling our best-in-class security systems.
What You'll Do
  • Support the entire mobile application lifecycle (concept, design, test, and release) in a fast paced environment for both existing and new mobile applications
  • Work in partnership with cross-functional teams to grow, design, and implement new features
  • Develop in Swift or Kotlin in conjunction with backend work
  • Work in iterative sprints to design, develop, and test solutions
  • Build automation and tests to streamline development
What You Bring
  • Ability to work at Verkada HQ during winter or summer 2027
  • Actively pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science (or similar degree plan) with a graduate date in early to mid 2026
  • Proficient understanding of Swift and iOS SDK OR Kotlin and Android SDK, and a willingness to learn about both
  • Experience writing multi-threaded, asynchronous code
  • Experience working with backend server APIs
  • Solid UI development and unit testing skills
  • Thorough understanding of fundamental Computer Science concepts
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well alongside engineers of all levels
