Arete is seeking highly motivated Senior Finance Specialist to support our Accounting, Finance, & Contracts groups. If you're ready to build real-world experience while applying what you've learned so far in Finance & Accounting, this is the opportunity for you! This position is a temporary (90-day term), full-time, non-exempt position based out of our Tucson, AZ office. Overview: This intern's focus is to develop experience working on day-to-day responsibilities and projects related to Accounting, Finance, & Contracts Management, while gaining exposure to other facets of the Company. This position will work side-by-side with team members and leaders to analyze the Company's financial performance and support the enhancement of processes and efficiencies for the Company's internal reporting requirements. This position will also assist with financial consulting and strategic support to senior management, including supporting the preparation of presentations, financial analysis, industry/peer group comparisons, and other projects as requested to provide insights and support optimal business decision making. Primary responsibilities: * Create financial models to support growth
* Document current processes, while highlighting any inefficiencies
* Assist with the production of internal forecasting/modeling and reporting on topics such as budgeting, capital expense, management reporting, and ad- hoc reporting
* Learn and become proficient with various internal software systems
* Assist with and provide suggestions for the creation of automated processes to drive efficiencies and improve performance
* Perform special projects related to finance on an as needed basis Required Qualifications & Experience: * Current undergraduate with a focus in Finance or Accounting preferred
