Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team responsible for designing, building, supporting, and modernizing enterprise integrations and Oracle-based solutions that power critical Finance, Procurement, HR, Customer Incentive, and Corporate Services capabilities.
This role combines people leadership, delivery ownership, architecture oversight, and hands-on technical leadership. The ideal candidate is an experienced engineering leader who can drive strategic business outcomes while remaining deeply engaged in solution design, integration architecture, Oracle PaaS development, and complex PL/SQL implementations.
This position will lead engineers across Oracle Cloud ERP, Oracle PaaS, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), APIs, event-driven integrations, data transformation platforms, and enterprise modernization initiatives. The leader will partner closely with Product, Program, Architecture, Finance, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient solutions that advance the organization's transformation roadmap.
This role is based out of our corporate headquarters in Raleigh, NC. It is a hybrid work model (4 days in office, 1 day work from home).
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership & People Management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers, principal engineers, contractors, and delivery partners.
  • Establish clear goals, career development plans, and performance expectations.
  • Build and maintain a culture of engineering excellence, accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive adoption of best practices across software engineering, integration development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and operational support.
  • Participate in workforce planning, hiring, succession planning, and vendor management.
Delivery & Business Outcomes
  • Own delivery outcomes across multiple enterprise initiatives and products.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Delivery Managers, Program Leaders, and business stakeholders to prioritize work and execute roadmaps.
  • Ensure timely delivery of solutions with high quality, scalability, and operational reliability.
  • Remove execution barriers and resolve cross-functional dependencies impacting delivery.
  • Manage technical risks, production issues, and platform stability while balancing business priorities.
Oracle & Integration Architecture Leadership
  • Provide technical leadership for enterprise integration architecture across Oracle Cloud ERP and surrounding systems.
  • Define standards and patterns for APIs, event-driven integrations, batch processing, file-based integrations, and cloud connectivity.
  • Lead architecture reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Drive modernization initiatives focused on reducing legacy platform complexity and improving automation.
  • Evaluate new technologies and integration patterns that improve scalability, reliability, and speed of delivery.
Hands-On Technical Leadership
  • Remain actively engaged in critical solution design, troubleshooting, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
  • Guide teams developing solutions using:
    • Oracle PaaS
    • Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
    • Oracle APEX
    • PL/SQL
    • REST and SOAP services
    • Kafka and event-driven architectures
    • Oracle Cloud ERP integration frameworks
  • Support complex performance tuning, integration optimization, and root-cause analysis activities.
  • Review technical designs and mentor engineers on development standards and implementation approaches.
Operational Excellence
  • Establish monitoring, alerting, observability, and support processes for enterprise integrations.
  • Drive automation of deployment, testing, reconciliation, and support activities.
  • Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, audit, and governance requirements.
  • Improve platform reliability, recovery capabilities, and operational efficiency.
Stakeholder Partnership
  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, HR, Product Management, Enterprise Architecture, and external vendors.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Communicate technical strategy and delivery status effectively to executive leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary engineering representative for key transformation initiatives.

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of engineering leadership experience managing technical teams.
  • Deep experience with Oracle Cloud ERP and enterprise integration platforms.
  • Hands-on expertise with:
    • Oracle PaaS
    • Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
    • PL/SQL
    • Oracle APEX
    • REST APIs
    • SOAP Services
    • Kafka/Event Streaming
    • SQL Performance Tuning
  • Experience building and supporting mission-critical enterprise integrations.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery, DevOps, CI/CD, and release management.
  • Experience leading geographically distributed engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Oracle Financials, Accounting Hub, AR, AP, GL, Cash Management, Procurement, or Enterprise Finance processes.
  • Experience with large-scale Oracle modernization or cloud transformation programs.
  • Familiarity with GCP, Azure, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and cloud-native integration patterns.
  • Experience with event-driven and real-time integration architectures.
  • Knowledge of SOX, audit controls, data governance, and enterprise security practices.
  • Oracle certifications in Fusion, OCI, OIC, or related technologies.
