About the Role

Join a dynamic and innovative team as a Software Engineer in the Advanced Center for Experimentation and Simulation (ACES) program. Be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge training solutions that support command and battle staff training using live, virtual, and constructive simulation assets. Located in Orlando, FL, this role offers the chance to engage with advanced technology, collaborate with skilled professionals, and make a tangible impact on mission-critical projects.

Responsibilities
  • - Design, develop, test, and debug software to deliver logical and mathematical solutions for business and mission needs
  • - Lead and coordinate software development projects from planning through deployment
  • - Apply software engineering standards, processes, and tools throughout the full development life cycle
  • - Analyze user requirements, system capabilities, and programming techniques to resolve complex challenges
  • - Correct program errors, document program development, and prepare comprehensive operating instructions
  • - Integrate simulation assets, C2 systems, and DIS/HLA gateways for robust training solutions
  • - Ensure all software meets quality and security standards
Required Skills and Experience
  • - Bachelorโ€™s degree in an engineering-related discipline
  • - 15 years of experience in software engineering
  • - Proficiency in C++, Python, or Java
  • - Hands-on experience with Gitlab or similar CI/CD tools
  • - Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
Preferred Skills
  • - Experience rapidly learning and applying new tools or languages
  • - Background in integrating new technologies for process optimization
