Summary:

Asure is seeking a Software Engineering Intern for our Research and Development team. This internship offers a remote environment and flexible work schedule of 20+ hours per week. The intern will gain hands-on experience in a professional IT environment and receive mentorship from experienced IT professionals while supporting cutting-edge projects in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. Successful completion of an internship with Asure will provide potential for future employment opportunities after graduation.


Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support data science, AI, and related projects in an AWS cloud environment.
  • Assist with troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Support IT staff in daily operations, including system updates and maintenance.
  • Help with software installations, configurations, and testing.
  • Provide technical support to employees, resolving basic IT-related queries.
  • Document IT processes and maintain system logs.
  • Collaborate with the development and security teams on various projects.
  • Learn and apply industry best practices in IT support and administration.


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Current enrollment in a degree program in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Prior experience and/or coursework in Data Science and/or Artificial Intelligence is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of operating systems and cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
