The Opportunity

The Engineering Project Manager oversees and manages engineering projects within engineering and manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for leading cross-functional teams, managing project scope, timelines, resources, and budgets, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently, effectively, and in alignment with technical, quality, safety, and stakeholder expectations.

What you will do?

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and budgets.
  • Coordinate all phases of engineering projects from conception through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Lead, motivate, and support cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and support staff; assign responsibilities, set expectations, and monitor progress.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders to maintain alignment and resolve issues.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions while ensuring technical standards and quality requirements are met.
  • Review and approve technical documentation, designs, specifications, and related project materials.
  • Engage with clients, suppliers, and internal departments to gather requirements, provide project updates, manage expectations, and address changes in scope.
  • Identify, monitor, and manage project risks and issues; develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project success.
  • Evaluate project performance and outcomes to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure projects comply with applicable regulations, standards, and safety requirements while promoting adherence to safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field required.
  • Masters degree and/or PMP certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Engineering Project Manager or in a similar project management role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, project management methodologies, industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and deliver results under pressure.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with project management software and tools, such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar systems.
