Job description

Calling all undergrad civil engineering students!

Collins offers an opportunity for a civil engineering student to gain experience doing structural inspections. The East Greenwich, RI office has an opening for a Structural Engineering Intern position for Summer 2026. This position will be a combination of office and time in the field.

You will be able to get hands on experience collaborating on bridge inspections – above and underwater and working on other various tasks with our seasoned engineers. You will get the opportunity to be paired with professional licensed engineers creating reports using data collected from field sites.

*Relocation is available

What are we looking for:

  • Junior or senior working towards a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Previous software experience in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Blue Beam, or Civil 3D is a plus.
  • Previous software experience in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe PDF or other PDF editing software is a plus.
  • A valid driver's license.
