Software Engineers may work in a variety of industries, such as technology, finance, healthcare, or entertainment, collaborating with other team members to deliver functional and reliable software. Their role often involves analyzing user requirements, writing code, debugging errors, and continually improving software performance.

What are some common challenges software engineers face when collaborating on large development teams?

Software engineers working on large teams often encounter challenges with communication, code integration, and maintaining consistent coding standards. Coordinating across multiple developers can lead to merge conflicts and misunderstandings about project requirements or priorities. Adopting tools like version control systems, regular code reviews, and clear documentation helps mitigate these issues. Building strong collaboration skills and proactively seeking clarification are key to ensuring smooth teamwork and project success.

As a Software Engineer II, you'll work as an active member of an experienced development team throughout the full software development lifecycle. • Research unfamiliar technologies and technical problems and apply what you learn to develop effective solutions.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute to improving development practices, application quality, team effectiveness, and overall engineering standards.
  • Continue developing your technical skills while sharing knowledge and lessons learned with teammates.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent education and professional experience.
  • Working knowledge and hands-on experience with:C#, .NET, Reactand TypeScript
  • Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.

  • Experience using Git or other source control systems.
  • Understanding of object-oriented design principles and software development best practices.
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging software applications.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar development lifecycle tools.
  • Experience developing automated unit and integration tests.
  • Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT.
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise applications.

What We Offer:

  • Opportunities for growth and career advancement
  • Comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, with eligibility beginning on your first day of employment
  • Basic life and disability insurance
  • 401(k) plan with 6% company match
  • 20 days of PTO, three floating holidays, approximately 10 paid holidays, and volunteer time off
