Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Engineer to join our team in the Annapolis Junction, Maryland area. In this role, you will help design, develop, and integrate critical software solutions to support high-priority mission requirements.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
  • Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features and correct defects.
  • Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
  • Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards and conferring with system engineers.
  • Develop or implement algorithms and database queries to meet or exceed functional standards.
  • Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.
  • Write or review comprehensive software and system documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (4 years of additional software engineering experience may be substituted).
  • Seven (7) years of experience as a Software Engineer.
  • Five (5) years of combined experience using any major object-oriented or modern language (e.g., Java, Python, Golang, JavaScript, C/C++).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js, React, or Angular.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets and office machinery.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
