What you'll doResponsibilities

Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Stripes engineering teams using Ruby, Scala, and Go; Build software infrastructure, including developing, testing, and deploying it;ย Design and develop software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design;ย Engineer payments integration with various financial partners software systems;ย Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation;ย Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack;ย Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine the feasibility of design within time and cost constraints;ย Work with engineers across the company to build new features at large-scale;ย Build new systems to securely store sensitive data;ย Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.

Who you areMinimum requirements

Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field, plus 2 years of Software Engineering experience.

Position also requires the following:

  • 2 years of experience working with Ruby, React, Typescript and AWS;
  • 2 years of experience implementing industry standard design patterns;
  • 2 years of software engineering experience building full-stack web applications at scale;
  • 2 years of experience building frontend Javascript web applications;
  • 2 years of experience designing backend systems and optimizing/tuning for performance and latency;
  • 2 years of experience with database management in MongoDB;
  • 2 years of experience using SQL, Presto and related query languages to perform data analysis;
  • 2 years of experience designing intuitive APIs for users; and
  • 1 year of experience testing and building reliable systems for payment processing.

Salary: $156,800 - $235,200/yr.

This salary range represents the base salary range for the role and any sales commissions/ sales bonuses targets, if applicable, would be in addition to the base salary.

40 hrs/week

Up to 50% telework permitted.ย 

Multiple Positions Available.ย
