JD for Agile Product Management Senior Analyst:
Position Summary:
As an Agile Product Management Senior Analyst at Allegiance, you will act as a key Product Owner / Business Analyst within an Agile development squad. You will bridge business needs and technical execution by translating strategy and high-level requirements into clear, actionable user stories. This role is responsible for daily backlog grooming, story mapping, sprint execution support, and data validation across TPA software platforms, self-funded reporting tools, and client/member portal applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Backlog Refinement Story Decomposition: Own, maintain, and prioritize the team backlog under the guidance of Product Advisors/Managers. Decompose business capabilities and epics into detailed user stories with objective Acceptance Criteria. Facilitate team refinement sessions to ensure user stories meet the Definition of Ready (DoR) prior to sprint planning. Define iteration goals and support sprint commitment decisions with development engineers and Scrum Masters.
Agile Squad Delivery Day-to-Day Execution: Serve as the daily voice of the customer and business to the Agile delivery team. Participate actively in all Agile ceremonies: daily standups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews/demos, and retrospectives. Clarify functional requirements and business logic in real-time to keep development moving forward without friction.
Data Profiling & UAT Validation: Support User Acceptance Testing by writing test scenarios, validating feature outcomes, and managing defect triage during release cycles. Conduct basic data profiling using SQL queries or business intelligence dashboards to verify data integrity across claims, benefits, and reporting systems. Document system release notes and assist in training business end-users on new software capabilities
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience
Experience: 5+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, or Agile Software Delivery. Practical experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing backlogs using standard Agile management tools
Technical & Analytical Competencies: Fundamental understanding of web architecture, databases, and APIs. Basic-to-intermediate SQL proficiency for data validation and requirement analysis
