As your single source, dedicated supplier for bleed air systems, air conditioning systems, cabin pressure control systems, components, and more, the ACE team acts as a key extension of your team, providing intelligent innovation and proven design methodologies to deliver safe, reliable, air control technologies and systems for aircraft.

Summary:
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for new design, certification and ongoing support of electrical systems for aircraft interior components. As an Electrical Engineer you will Design, develop, test and troubleshoot electrical components specifically for environmental control systems in aircraft, ensuring they meet project specifications and rigorous industry standards, as directed. You will create detailed schematics, layouts and technical drawings using computer aided design software and systems. As a team member with mechanical engineers, software engineers and customer representatives you will work to ensure seamless project integration and all electrical designs and installations comply with RTCA/DO-160G standards, customer requirements and quality standards. On a daily bases you will perform detailed calculations, diagnose and resolve electrical issues with circuit boards and systems, and prepare and maintain detailed engineering reports including design specifications, test results and technical documentation.   • Research, develop, design, test and evaluate Printed Circuit Boards.
  • Design digital and analog electronic circuits to meet functional requirements.
  • Specify analog circuit components to satisfy spec requirements.
  • Analyze digital circuit clocking and triggering issues.
  • Incorporate electronic circuit designs using FPGAs.
  • Incorporate embedded microprocessors within an electronic system design.
  • Assemble, debug, and adjust digital and analog circuit boards using electronic test equipment.
  • Evaluate failed PCBs from incoming inspection, OEM and RTN.
  • Troubleshooting PCBs.
  • Analyze power supply and filtering electronic designs.
  • Design for, evaluate designs, and debug EMI protection issues.
  • Design electronic layouts for consideration of vibration, thermal control, and testability.
  • Work on electric motor design, selection, and specifications.
  • Work on electronic equipment in an ESD-protected environment.
  • Draw circuit schematics, wire lists, and component layouts using ECAD/ OrCAD tools.
  • Plan, conduct, analyze, and report on tests for qualification of electronic circuits per DO-160.
  • Create and evaluate Electric/Electronic test reports.
  • Evaluates and resolves electronic design related production problems.

Requirements
Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or related field is required.
  • 0-4 years' experience in Electrical Engineering or related field. Aerospace manufacturing is a huge plus.
  • Experience troubleshooting HVAC systems and circuit boards highly desired.
  • Ability to design, evaluate, test, and debug digital and analog electronic circuits.
  • Ability to read and analyze reports, drawings, and schematics.
  • Basic knowledge Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • OrCad/Eagle/LTSpice.
  • Preferred skills (not required), DO-160 knowledge, Catia V5, SmarTeam, Vault, Inventor. AutoCAD is useful.
