You will play a key role in enabling citizen developers, contributing to our BETA OS initiative, and building solutions that make our engineering, IT, and HelpDesk teams more efficient.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:

Short term examples include contributing to BETA Forge codebase and Maestro feature improvements
  • Contribute to BETA OS: Participate as a cross-functional team member on the BETA OS project, contributing to consistent and reliable production delivery practices, shared release pipelines, and platform-wide standards that span multiple engineering teams
  • Improve IT & HelpDesk Efficiency:Develop and maintain tooling and workflow automations that reduce manual effort for IT and HelpDesk teams, including automated ticketing integrations, onboarding/offboarding workflows, and self-service request systems (this includes continued growth and support of HelpDesk Bot)
  • Support Developer Standards:Collaborate with Platform and Product teams to promote platform standards including coding patterns, service templates, and reusable components that drive consistency across BETA's software portfolio
  • Drive Continuous Improvement:Identify gaps in the developer experience and proactively prototype and ship improvements that reduce friction and increase engineering velocity across the organization
Minimum Qualifications: (your Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities):
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of software development experience in one or more languages such as Python or TypeScript/JavaScript
  • Experience building and consuming REST APIs and microservices
  • Familiarity with Gitlab CI/CD pipelines and deployment
  • Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted coding tools (such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar) in a professional or project setting
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure fundamentals
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with an ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
  • Curiosity-driven problem solver with a strong desire to improve developer experience and reduce toil
Above and Beyond Qualifications: (preferred qualifications):
  • Experience building internal developer tooling
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform or CDK & CloudFormation)
  • Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) in a development or platform context
  • Knowledge of identity and access management integrations (OAuth, SAML, LDAP, or Entra ID)
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Primarily office-based with potential for hybrid work arrangements
  • Requires prolonged periods of computer use
  • Occasional travel may be necessary for team collaboration or conference
