Job Description

Position Responsibilities:
The Software Validation Engineer will be responsible for performing validation activities as new or implemented software within the operations, quality or other functions. Strong and in-depth knowledge of software validation is required. Complete understanding and wide application of standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques. Participates in determining objectives of assignment. Accomplishes assigned tasks using own discretion and judgment as to the specific approach or technique. Participate in requirements, design and code reviews as they pertain to software validation. Work within a project team to develop software specifications based on high-level requirements. Translate specifications into functional requirements, user requirements, user acceptance test scripts, and regression testing protocols. Verify the design and participate actively in validation activities.

Qualifications

Education: Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline or related field.

EXPERIENCE: The candidate must have prior software validation experience..preferably in a regulated industry such as medical device. A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience performing validation activities. Understanding of software Engineering processes and software life cycle in general. Medical device experiences a plus. Other regulated environment experience is a plus.
