This position is located in our Jasper Rubber Products location, in Jasper, IN 


Position Summary


As Maintenance Manager, you'll partner across teams to provide strategic direction and drive our shared success. As a leader you will create a culture of reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.  The approach of stopping and fixing to OEM acceptable standards is expected. You will oversee everything from predictive programs to daily maintenance of facility and utilities. This is to be completed while within budget guidelines and maintaining an environment effectively support production. You must always support quality, safety and strive through continuous improvement activities to be a world class organization.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Drive Plant Reliability:

  • Asset Performance: Drive the development of our preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime, minimize unplanned downtime, and maximize equipment availability (OEE).
  • Solve Complex Challenges: Engage, guide and provide the team solutions for advanced troubleshooting across      mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation systems to keep production moving.
  • Analyze & Optimize: Design the department activities to reduce reactive maintenance. By utilizing root cause problem solving tools, tracking of equipment failures, and implement long-term engineered solutions. 
  • Asset Lifecycle: Manage critical spare parts inventory and asset management systems, while using data for future equipment upgrades and replacement strategies.

Lead, Mentor & Elevate the Team:

  • Develop Future Leaders: Mentor, coach, train and actively improve / develop a team which can effectively support all aspects of the company's needs.
  • Set the Standard: Manage team performance, and create a workplace culture built on accountability, pride, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Drive a Safety-First Culture:

  • Guard Team Safety: Drive absolute compliance with OSHA and internal safety standards, leading and enforcing our Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) programs and promoting safe daily work practices.
  • Proactive Oversight Actively participate in safety audits, incident investigations, then implement corrective actions in a timely and effective manner.

Optimize Infrastructure & Utilities:

  • Facility Expertise: Oversee the integrity and efficiency of critical plant infrastructure and utility systems, including HVAC, boilers, compressors, chillers, and electrical systems.
  • Vendor Partnership: Manage external contractor and vendor performance, ensuring high-quality service, on-time delivery, and regulatory compliance for all third-party maintenance activities.

Strategic Budgeting & Continuous Improvement:

  • Manage the Business:      Develop and control the annual maintenance budget, tracking metrics and identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising reliability.
  • Intradepartmental Cooperation: Partner with Management, Production, Engineering, Quality, and EHS teams to drive Total Productive Maintenance initiatives. Actively engage and support requested or identified opportunities for improvement on      capital improvement and business-related projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with rubber, plastics, automotive, or industrial manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems.
  • Experience with CMMS software and preventive maintenance systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification.
  • Lean Manufacturing and TPM experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality systems.
  • Experience managing maintenance budgets and capital projects.

Physical Requirements: Ability to walk manufacturing floors, climb ladders, work around industrial equipment, and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.
