Description: Our client is currently seeking a Software Engineer-Developer 4

Job Description:
- Designs, develops, tests, and maintains safety-critical embedded software across the full product lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry, customer, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Translates customer and sDesigns, develops, tests, and maintains safety-critical embedded software across the full product lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry, customer, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Translates customer and system requirements into robust, testable software architectures and detailed designs, implements and optimizes software components and algorithms for system integration and performance, and creates and maintains comprehensive documentation including requirements traceability, design descriptions, test plans, and release notes.
- Leads verification and validation activities (unit, integration, system, regression), produces certification evidence and safety artifacts, and debugs and resolves defects and field issues to maximize reliability and availability.
- Responds to user inquiries and technical support tickets, incorporates user feedback into prioritized improvements, and evaluates and adopts emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory changes to keep the software and processes current.
- Establishes, monitors, and continuously improves development processes, toolchains, and KPIs to align teams with organizational objectives and industry benchmarks, plans and executes R&D projects and feasibility studies, and provides domain expertise on software architecture, safety analyses, compliance, and lifecycle practices.
- Performs software project management activities including schedule tracking, risk management, and resource planning, and manages software suppliers and partners by defining requirements, evaluating deliverables, and monitoring supplier performance to ensure product and process compliance with project plans and industry standards.

- Develop Mission Systems Software Architecture
- Fluency in both UML and SysML
- Fluency in MBSE practice and Model Driven Software Engineering
- Ability to translate customer needs into non-functional requirements/quality attributes
- Ability to translate non-function requirements/quality attributes into known software architecture patterns
- Ability to manage and trade off multiple concurrent issues, ambiguities, and contradictions in non-functional requirements/quality attributes
- Reverse Engineering Software Architecture of legacy code
- Refactoring Software Architecture
- Product Line development/ Product Line Software Architecture
Education / Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
