As part of our Engineering Development group based in Cary, NC, you will be working individually and collaboratively to develop, implement, and support custom solutions through fast-paced, dynamic projects involving components at every level of the Q2 platform to extend its functionality to meet our clients' unique needs. Our ideal candidate is someone with a self-motivated tinkering spirit and who is comfortable diving into professional development life while rapidly learning to engineer solutions using a mix of open technologies and our own proprietary framework.
Role Overview:
As a Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the adoption and expansion of our Andi product - a fully customizable coaching assistant designed to provide valuable insights and support to our customers in their daily tasks and decision-making processes. You will be working individually and collaboratively to develop, implement, and support custom solutions through fast-paced, dynamic projects involving components at every level of the Q2 platform to extend its functionality to meet our clients' unique needs. Our ideal candidate is someone with a self-motivated tinkering spirit and who is comfortable diving into professional development life while rapidly learning to engineer solutions using a mix of open technologies and our own proprietary framework.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with our internal teams to understand the client's needs and customize the Andi coaching assistant to provide relevant insights and information
  • Design, implement, integrate, and test software solutions of moderate complexity to support the Andi coaching platform
  • Work individually and collaboratively to deliver solutions in live production systems
  • Support, maintain, and resolve problems for custom features in live production systems, with occasional on-call availability

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant degree or equivalent experience and may require up to 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience.
  • Typically requires no previous professional experience.
  • Experience in all aspects of the software development life cycle
  • Proficiency in basic programming paradigms and experience in TypeScript or a similar language (JavaScript/C#)
  • Web development experience
  • Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience engineering software in a service-oriented architecture
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Occasional availability for on-call/emergency support
  • Ability to work flexible hours when necessary for deadlines and off-hours installations
