Perform low-level programming and system design with a strong emphasis on performance tuning.

Collaborate with hardware engineers to understand architectural features and constraints.

Contribute to late-stage research projects transitioning to production.

Engage in full-stack development when needed, from embedded systems to application-level software.

Required Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).

Strong proficiency in C/C++ and familiarity with how hardware architecture impacts software performance.

Hands‑on experience with software design, development, and debugging.

Ability to design systems and clearly document and communicate technical concepts.

Self‑driven problem solver who thrives in both independent and team settings.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Unix‑based systems (Linux, Android, iOS).

Prior work on DoD contracts, especially tech transition.

Overall, we are looking for energetic candidates who are innovative, curiosity‑driven, willing to explore new ideas, and are strong team players with excellent communication skills.

At Maxentric, our teams work on a variety of cross‑discipline R&D projects born out of the ideas of our engineers. Our current projects focus on the networking, wireless communication, health, and artificial intelligence fields and range from early exploratory efforts to commercial product transitions. The supporting teams of electrical and software engineers, as well as university research partners, provide constant exposure to new ideas and inspiration and a set of helpful experts as we work to develop the future. This position will be based out of MaXentric’s California office in downtown La Jolla.
