Job Title: Civil Engineer Project Manager

Location: Stoneham, MA

Work Type: Fulltime/Onsite

Job Overview

This is a full-time, in-office position for a Civil Engineer Project Manager responsible for civil engineering design, site planning, stormwater management, project coordination, and permitting for land development projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and manage civil engineering projects from planning through completion.
  • Prepare detailed civil engineering and site development designs.
  • Develop site layouts, grading plans, drainage systems, utilities, and stormwater management designs.
  • Manage project schedules, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate projects with clients and other professionals, including:
    • Engineers
    • Architects
    • Land surveyors
    • Other project disciplines
  • Support and manage the permitting process.
  • Ensure projects comply with applicable regulations, codes, and permitting requirements.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized project documentation and manage project activities effectively.
  • Apply strong attention to detail when preparing and reviewing engineering designs and project information.
  • Work collaboratively while also being able to work independently and take initiative.
  • Support additional project-related responsibilities as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 3+ years of relevant civil engineering experience.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification.
  • Experience with civil engineering design and site planning.
  • Experience designing stormwater management systems.
  • Experience with:
    • Site layout
    • Grading
    • Drainage
    • Utilities
  • Experience with permitting procedures and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with engineers, architects, land surveyors, clients, and other project stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and willing to learn new skills.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record/habits.
  • Ability to work full-time in the office in Stoneham, MA.

Preferred Qualifications
