Position Description: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager from the AEC industry, preferably in structural engineering, to manage a multi-million dollar structural engineering project focused on NPC/SPC initiatives with HCAI (formerly OSHPD) in California. This is a hybrid position in our Orange office. This position could also be filled with a temporary/contract employee with the option to convert from temporary to regular status in the future.

Job Description: The Project Manager will oversee all phases of project execution, stakeholder coordination, and financial tracking, ensuring successful delivery of project objectives within scope, schedule, and budget.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a firmwide, multi-million dollar structural engineering project related to NPC/SPC compliance in California.
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings with owners, architects, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Drive project progress, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and timelines.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, schedules, and reports using advanced Excel skills.
  • Track and report project financials, budgets, and expenditures.
  • Utilize Bluebeam software for document management and collaboration.
  • Identify and resolve project issues, risks, and conflicts to maintain momentum and achieve deliverables.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience within the AEC industry, preferably managing design professionals within architecture, engineering, and construction.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Expertise in Bluebeam software.
  • Proficiency with all major communication tools (e.g., Teams, Zoom, Slack, email platforms).
  • Proven experience leading meetings and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience tracking and managing financials for large-scale projects.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing complex, firmwide initiatives and projects.
  • Ability to work independently and drive project outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Desired Requirements:
  • Experience with projects under HCAI jurisdiction.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
