Job description

Position Summary:

Astrodyne TDI is looking for a Sales Engineer (SE) in Germany as part of our expansion plan for increased direct selling in Europe. The SE is responsible to increase and improve sales in the territory, expressed in terms of increased new and existing customer engagement for sales of Filter, Transformer and standard Power products.

The SE will establish and maintain direct customer relationships with target accounts in the assigned region. He/she will be providing both commercial and technical support to customers for Astrodyne TDI products. The SE is the "face" of AstrodyneTDI to the customer, has the authority to negotiate on behalf of the Company, and represents the Company's interests.

The SE will ideally be located within their assigned region and work out of a home office. Travel is expected to average 60% within territory on a weekly basis, plus around 5% out of region within or outside of Europe, as the need arises. Ability to travel to the US is essential.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Works to achieve budgeted sales and targeted new account acquisition quota.
  • Establishes and builds professional relationships with target Accounts in both engineering and commercial functions.
  • Works with customers on design opportunities and exploring their requirements for recurring programs, in order to position ATDI and convey our value proposition to set us apart from competitors
  • Prepares, recommends and negotiates pricing, terms and conditions for quotations (RFQ's) blanket agreements and contracts for management approval.
  • Works closely with Product Marketing and where necessary Engineering teams, creates effective proposals and RFP/RFQ responses that identify prospects' needs and requirements and outline our solution and value proposition.
  • For more complex opportunities the SE will work in conjunction with the FAE assigned to the region
  • Proactively manages and maintains a high level of customer satisfaction within existing account base.
  • Drives on-going, proactive qualification, management and progression of sales leads and prospects.
  • Coordinates the resolution of customer concerns, complaints and corrective actions.
  • Attend trade shows and other market/industry events to scout for new target customers.
  • Follows up on sample and digital leads to new and existing accounts
  • Maintain the SalesForce.com database of opportunities and contacts

Experience:

  • Experience with EMI and Power Electronics
  • Demonstrates a consultative approach and ability to make recommendations to Company prospects with solutions that can meet their requirements.
  • Possesses the ability to influence and motivate other internal organizations to achieve solutions for customers and drive revenue growth.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English and German. Dutch or French desirable.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with EMI and Power Electronics
  • Demonstrates a consultative approach and ability to make recommendations to Company prospects with solutions that can meet their requirements.
  • Possesses the ability to influence and motivate other internal organizations to achieve solutions for customers and drive revenue growth.
  • Able to communicate effectively.
  • Bachelor Electronic or Electrical Engineering degree preferred along with prior EMI Filter, Transformer or Power Supply sales experience.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in the territory with an established network of contacts in the Industrial, Medical, Aerospace and Military markets. Tenacity, skill, and a Customer-focus is most important.
  • The SE must be able to travel extensively to accounts, and prospective customers, in order to drive additional new business.

Der VE baut direkte Kundenbeziehungen zu Zielkunden in der zugewiesenen Region auf und pflegt diese. Er/Sie bietet Kunden sowohl kaufmännische als auch technische Unterstützung für Astrodyne TDI-Produkte. Der VE ist das „Gesicht" von Astrodyne TDI gegenüber dem Kunden, verhandelt im Namen des Unternehmens und vertritt dessen Interessen.

Idealerweise arbeitet der VE in der zugewiesenen Region von zu Hause aus. Die Reisetätigkeit beträgt durchschnittlich 60 % pro Woche innerhalb des Vertriebsgebiets sowie ca. 5 % außerhalb der Region, je nach Bedarf innerhalb oder auch außerhalb Europas. Die Bereitschaft zu Reisen in die USA ist erforderlich.

Ihre vielseitigen Aufgaben bei uns:

  • Umsetzung der budgetierten Vertriebsziele sowie der angestrebten Neukundenakquise
  • Aufbau, Ausbau und Pflege von Kundenbeziehungen sowohl in technischer als auch in kaufmännischer Weise
  • Kundennahe Erarbeitung von Geschäftsmöglichkeiten unter Berücksichtigung der Anforderungen für wiederkehrende Projekte, um ATDI optimal zu positionieren und unseren Mehrwert gegenüber der Konkurrenz hervorzuheben
  • Erstellung, Empfehlung und Verhandlung von Preisen, Geschäftsbedingungen für Angebote (RFQs), Rahmenverträgen sowie Verträgen zur Genehmigung durch das Management
  • Enge Zusammenarbeit mit dem Produktmarketing und gegebenenfalls auch mit den Entwicklungsteams, um aussagekräftige Angebote zu erstellen, die die Bedürfnisse und Anforderungen der Kunden identifizieren und unsere Lösung sowie unseren Mehrwert darlegen
  • Rege Zusammenarbeit des VE mit dem zuständigen Applikationsingenieur (FAE) in der Region, insbesondere bei komplexeren Projekten
  • Proaktive Aurechterhaltung der Zufriedenheit im bestehenden Kundenstamm sowie Betreuung und Weiterentwicklung von Neukunden
  • Bearbeitung und Klärung von Kundenbeschwerden bei gleichzeitiger Einleitung passender Korrekturmaßnahmen
  • Besuch von Messen und anderer Branchenveranstaltungen zwecks Neukundengewinnung und Demonstration des ATDI Produktportfolios
  • Nachverfolgung von Vertriebskontakten, die sich aus Muster- bzw. Online-Anfragen von Neu- und Bestandskunden ergeben

Sie bringen mit:

  • Erfahrung mit EMV und Leistungselektronik
