Job description

Principal Responsibilities:
The Welcome Desk Associate serves as the primary point of contact for members, guests, and prospective members at the Kaiserman JCC. This position plays a vital role in creating a welcoming environment while supporting daily operations, membership services, program registration, and customer engagement. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service, promote JCC programs and memberships, assist with sales and retention efforts, and help ensure a positive experience for all who visit the JCC. Weekday, evening, and weekend shifts available.
Minimum Qualifications:
Member & Guest Experience
  • Greet and welcome members, guests, and prospective members in a friendly, professional, and inclusive manner.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for questions, concerns, and general information about the JCC.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and help create a positive experience for all visitors.
Membership & Sales Support
  • Support membership acquisition, retention, and engagement efforts through outstanding customer service and relationship building.
  • Provide information about memberships, programs, facility amenities, events, and services.
  • Assist prospective members with inquiries, tours, and referrals to appropriate staff.
  • Identify opportunities to connect members and guests with additional JCC programs, classes, services, and events.
  • Support membership promotions, special events, open houses, and community outreach initiatives.
Front Desk & Operations
  • Maintain the daily operations of the Welcome Desk, ensuring a professional and organized environment.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, transfer calls appropriately, and take accurate messages.
  • Monitor facility access and assist with member check-in procedures.
  • Support opening and closing procedures as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate records related to memberships, program registrations, facility usage, and participant information.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and special projects as needed.
Program Registration & JCC Knowledge
  • Process program registrations, payments, and transactions accurately.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of JCC programs, services, memberships, events, policies, and facility offerings.
  • Promote educational, cultural, recreational, fitness, aquatics, camp, preschool, and community programs across the organization.
  • Help members navigate JCC systems and access information about available programs and services.
  • Stay informed about upcoming events, schedules, and operational updates to provide accurate information to members and guests.
Teamwork & Professionalism
  • Collaborate effectively with staff across all departments to ensure excellent member service.
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, reliability, and confidentiality.
  • Support special events and other organizational initiatives as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on the needs of the Kaiserman JCC.
Qualifications:
  • Friendly, outgoing personality with a passion for customer service.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with members, guests, and staff.
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn JCC operations, membership systems, programs, and services.

  • First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications preferred
