Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Summary: SEACORP's Software Engineering Services Business Area isseeking a highly skilled SoftwareEngineer with 5+ years of experience to join our team in Middletown,RI. This role offers a hybrid work environment, balancing remoteproductivity with essential on-site collaboration at our facility andcustomer sites. In this role, you will design and build critical desktopapplications and modern frontend user interfaces while interacting directlywith Navy customers and stakeholders to translate their mission needs intointuitive software solutions.
Job Responsibilities Include:
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to design,develop, and maintain front-end user interfaces and desktop applications.
  • Implement intuitive, responsive UI designs based on customerfeedback and team guidelines.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code utilizingmodern frameworks.
  • Support backend engineering team members to ensure seamlessintegration and overall system performance.
  • Participate in customer-facing discussions, requirementgathering sessions, and product demonstrations alongside team peers.

Qualifications:
Education: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or arelated technical discipline.
Experience: 5+ years of professional software engineering andapplication development experience.
Required Skills:
  • Proven track record in building and maintainingdesktop applications.
  • Strong proficiency in designing interactive,data-driven front-end user interfaces.
  • Deep technical expertise in JavaScript, React,Node.js, and Java.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experienceinterfacing directly with customers or stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid/on-site capacity outof the Middletown, RI facility.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for employment at ourMiddletown facilities.

Ideal Experience:
  • Prior experience developing software for Navy,submarine, or maritime defense applications.
  • An active DoD Secret Clearance (or higher) ishighly preferred.

As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship
Location: Middletown, RI
Travel: Quarterly (approximately 4 times a year)
Clearance: Secret
Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
