Job Title: Intern,  Integration & Test Engineering - Non-Automation

Job Code: 43516

Job Location:  Northampton, MA

Job Schedule: 9/80:Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off   

Job Description:  

The purpose of the Integration and Test Engineering position is to synthesize and define test processes for RF, complex electro-optical, electro-mechanical systems. Contribute to assembly level through system level integration and test activities and ensure technical requirements are fulfilled.Intern with broad theoretical knowledge. Works under the direction and guidance of team leads within standard processes for non-routine tasks. Communicate with contacts in own team to explain and interpret information. Works to achieve operations targets that impact team results.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Perform systems engineering tasks for both manual and automated test processes
  • Develop test plans, test procedures, requirements traceability, test reports, test flow, and test case design and implementation
  • Execute system, CCA and component level functional testing and document results 
  • Use software tools and perform scripting and software/hardware troubleshooting
  • Setup, configure, and document hardware and software systems under test, including loading software onto multiple devices to perform verification and validation
  • Perform root cause analysis and correction action creation
  • Support Operations Manufacturing in failure trend analysis and ensure failure trends are quickly and effectively identified and resolved
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications:  

  • To be eligible, candidate's must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, or related field at an accredited university.   

Preferred Skills: 

  • Coursework and/or experience in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • Test Hardware: DC Power Supplies, Digital Multi-Meters, Oscilloscope, Signal Generator, RF Signal Generator, Spectrum Analyzer, Scaler Analyzer, Fiber Optic Scope Meter

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $25.50/hour - $48.00/hour. TThis is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
