Job description

This opportunity is open to engineering students seeking an internship or co-op placement.

Application Deadline: July 17, 2026 

  • Work Term: 4-Month Term (September 8 - December 18)
  • Work Arrangement: Onsite, Full-Time (Monday-Friday) 
  • Location: 711 Kernaghan Avenue (New Flyer) or 1475 Clarence Avenue (MCI) 
  • Hours: 8-hour workdays, with start times ranging between 6:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. 
  • Compensation: Paid internship

POSITION SUMMARY:  

As an Engineering Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience in a complex engineering environment, working on projects that support the design, development, testing, manufacturing, and continuous improvement of our industry-leading vehicles. Depending on your placement, you may join Engineering teams in Production, Electrical, Business Systems, New Product Development, or Manufacturing, where you'll be supported by experienced engineers who will provide guidance, feedback, and opportunities to learn and grow. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO: 

  • Contribute to engineering projects that have a real impact on our products and operations.
  • Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges.
  • Apply classroom knowledge to real-world engineering problems.
  • Assist with testing, analysis, design, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret technical data to support engineering decisions.
  • Participate in team meetings, project discussions, and design reviews.
  • Learn about the full product lifecycle-from concept and design to manufacturing and production.
  • Build technical skills while learning from experienced mentors. 

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: 

  • Currently enrolled in a recognized post-secondary engineering program.
  • Eligible to work in Canada and availability for the full work term.
  • Previous co-op, internship, or manufacturing experience is considered an asset.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational, planning, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
