Overview

SUMMER 2027

Shure offers a challenging, fun, and rewarding summer internship program. The twelve-week program is offered to undergraduate and graduate students. We offer internships with a variety of work arrangements from onsite interns to fully remote in US. Each intern will receive a competitive salary. Additionally, Interns who are asked to relocate to Illinois for onsite internships will receive a housing stipend to cover living expenses. Applications will be collected, reviewed, and selected candidates will be contacted in late fall/early winter.

AsΒ Cloud Applications Software Intern, you'll be a key member of our Product Development Division who will focus on front-endΒ customer-facingΒ cloudΒ applicationΒ servicesΒ of Shure products.Β 

This Internship is Hybrid in Niles, IL.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and test software to be deployed in a cloud environment for managing Shure devices and supporting system functionalityΒ 
  • Specify software components for use in Shure systemsΒ 
  • Work as part of a cross-functional development team to design and implement cutting edge audio products andΒ technologies.Β 
  • Estimate, organize, and document tasksΒ 
  • Practice established software development methodologies and principles focusing on separation of concerns, reusability, maintainability, minimized complexity, high cohesion and low couplingΒ 
  • Model designs using UML and related methods; develop use cases to model real-time systems behaviorΒ 
  • Review the design and code developed by peer engineersΒ 
  • More senior engineers will mentor junior and entry-level staff membersΒ 
  • Other duties as assignedΒ 
Qualifications
  • BS degree in Computer Science, ComputerEngineering,orElectrical EngineeringΒ 
  • Cloudsoftware development experience(AWS preferred)Β 
  • Demonstrated understanding of software design, analysis,Β and programming using Node.js and TypescriptΒ 
  • Experience developing software in a serverless cloud environment (AWS preferable)Β 
  • Experience developingΒ front-endΒ softwareΒ using AngularΒ or similar Front-end application frameworkΒ 
  • Experience developingΒ database softwareΒ in a serverless cloud environment (AWS preferable)Β 
  • Experience defining, implementing, and testing RESTfulΒ and GraphQLΒ APIsΒ 
  • Experience with AWS services (APIGateway,DynamoDb, S3, Kinesis)Β 
  • Experience withΒ GITΒ software version control and releaseΒ 
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to analyze complex interdependentΒ variables.Β 
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communicationΒ skills.Β 
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and lead juniorΒ engineers.Β 
  • Quality consciousnessΒ 
  • Familiarity with AI assisted SDLC is nice to have.Β
