Job description

As an EIT in RICK’s land development department, you will have an opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team on meaningful, landmark projects in the Phoenix region. As a RICK team member, you will help Clients and communities turn their dreams into reality. You will learn from and work alongside industry-leading experts to design the future of the Valley.

Key Responsibilities

·Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to design and prepare construction documents including grading and drainage, utility, and roadway plans.

·Perform stormwater calculations and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and assist in designing site retention, storm drainage systems, and conveyance channels. Research local codes and prepare technical drainage reports.

·Assist in the design of public and private water and sewer systems including layouts and prepare sewer capacity analysis and WaterCAD models. Research state and local codes and prepare technical basis of design reports.  

·Maintain quality control checklists to ensure plans and reports adhere to RICK CAD Standards and Quality Control Manuals.

·Work towards Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure by gaining qualifying experience. Take advantage of training opportunities and mentorship from senior engineers and company leadership.

Qualifications

Qualified candidate will have:

·         Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

·         Successful passing the Fundamentals of Engineering exam (FE).

·         Engineer-In-Training (EIT) designation or ability to obtain within 6 months.

·         Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.  

·         Desire to learn about land development and advance their career.
