Who We're Looking For (Position Overview)
Spry Methods is seeking a Software Engineer to support a federal customer in Quantico, VA.
ย 
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with software testing best practices and defect management processes and proven experience in delivering realistic estimates, in scope, and quality products.ย 
What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities)
  • Lead the design and implementation of test automation frameworks.ย 
  • Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts.ย 
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and technical teams to identifyย automation needs.ย 
  • Review and analyze test automation results to ensure software quality.ย 
  • Mentor and train junior testย engineers on automation best practices.ย 
  • Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.ย 
  • Monitor and improve the efficiency of test automation processes.ย 
  • Perform testing activities to ensure proper tracking and completion each Sprint and overall releaseย 
  • Write and revise test-related management plans and formal test Proceduresย 
  • Perform functional, exploratory, system, regressionย and performance testing.ย 
What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements)
  • US citizenship with active Top Secret clearance.ย 
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience, or equivalent certifications demonstratingย ability to perform at this level.ย 
  • Proven experience in software test automation.ย 
  • Leadership experience in a testingย or QA role.ย 
  • Srong understanding of software development lifecycles.ย 
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.ย 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.ย 
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.ย 
  • Excellent understanding and experience of test automation frameworks, regression, system, functionalย and performance testing.ย 
  • Exceptional collaborative communication skills.
Ideally, You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relatedย field.ย 
  • Experience with Agile Development / Scrum frameworkย 
  • Understanding of test-driven development and/or behavior driven developmentย 
  • Familiarity with Jiraย 
$130,000 - $155,000 a year

Compensation is determined based on relevant experience, technical qualifications, certifications, clearance level, and contract requirements.ย
