The Purpose of Your RoleWe are looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join one of our product teams supporting a proprietary, client-facing system. This role plays a key part in designing, building, and maintaining the technology that provides value to our clients.Partial onsite work will be required. If you love solving complex problems and delivering software that makes a tangible business impact, this could be the role for you.What You’ll Be DoingDesign, build, and maintain full-stack applications for a proprietary, client-facing platform.Develop and optimize backend services using Java and SQL to support secure, efficient data processing.Collaborate with product owners and operational departments to clarify requirements and deliver business-driven solutions.Contribute to frontend components using modern frameworks (e.g., Svelte, React, Angular, Vue, or similar).Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.Take initiative in a fast-paced Kanban environment and continuously enhance development practices.Mentor others and share best practices within the engineering team.Respond to application issues as they arise and resolve in a timely, considerate, and forward-thinking manner. Participate in on-call rotation.What’s Required3+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in full-stack or backend development.Proficient in Java and SQL.Experience with at least one modern frontend framework or library (Svelte, React, Angular, Vue, etc.).Experience with Git in a collaborative environment and CI/CD pipelines.Familiarity with technologies such as Oracle Database, CockroachDB, Spring Boot, JBoss, JavaScript, Containers, Linux, Rancher, Ansible, and Bamboo preferred.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on clean, maintainable code.Passion for learning, automation, and continual improvement.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Why Work for Apex?Apex has been voted one of the best medium-sized companies to work for in Fort Worth since 2016 because we’re committed to employee empowerment, team building, and a good work/life balance.
