Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain professionalism when working independently and within a team environment
  • Support Lean 5S initiatives to achieve a workplace that is clean, uncluttered, safe, and well organized to help reduce waste and optimize productivity
  • Attend and contribute to discourse during team meetings and leverage senior team members for knowledge and direction when needed
  • Develop new manufacturing processes with oversight
  • Verify manufacturing processes using inspection techniques, data collection, measurement, as directed
  • Read and interpret manufacturing drawings and requirements
  • Design and develop manufacturing process equipment such as work holding fixtures, test methods, data collection systems, or other as directed
  • Work on tasks individually or as part of a team
  • Manage time efficiently to accomplish assigned tasks on time
  • Assist in process capability studies, efficiency studies, or other engineering tasks, as assigned
  • Assist in process improvement efforts
  • Participate in FMEA, PFMEA, Design Review, and other Engineering activities/functions
  • Assist in Engineering Sustainment activities to support ongoing Manufacturing operations – to include but not limited to: restoring manufacturing processes to operation following failures, participating in process improvement efforts, providing training to others, updating process documentation
  • Basic knowledge of, or the ability to learn CAD/CAM software, GD&T and fabrication
  • Author documentation for new and existing manufacturing processes
  • Participate in NPI (New Product Introduction) activities as necessary and as directed

Minimum Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder

• Must pass all pre and post hire background checks

• Must pass preemployment and subsequent drug screenings

• Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Maintain Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives “Employee Possessor” eligibility and Federal Prohibitor status regarding firearms

• Able to read drawings and blueprints

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent industry experience in a related field. Higher level of education/degree will be considered in lieu of experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


Physical Requirements:

• RARE (less than 10%): crawling, climbing, gripping, lifting up to 50 lbs.

• OCCASIONAL (up to 33%): standing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, body-twisting,
