Role Overview

We are looking for a reliable and technically skilled Desktop Support Engineer to provide on-demand, on-site IT support for enterprise clients. This role involves responding to service requests when required and providing hands-on technical assistance for desktop systems, laptops, network connectivity, and peripheral devices at the client location.
This is a contract-based, on-demand position, meaning work assignments will be provided as and when support is required. Availability and responsiveness are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Provide on-site desktop and IT support for end users at the client location.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software applications.
Support network connectivity issues, including LAN troubleshooting.
Assist with device setup, replacement, and hardware installations.
Perform basic network troubleshooting using console access when required.
Document service activities and communicate updates to the service delivery team.
Follow client IT policies and security procedures while performing onsite tasks.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop environments
Experience in hardware troubleshooting and replacement
Basic understanding of networking (LAN connectivity, switches, routers)

Ability to diagnose and resolve desktop, printer, and peripheral issues
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently in onsite support environments

Engineers must carry the following tools while attending onsite support requests:
Windows Laptop
LAN Cable
Console Cable
Screwdriver Toolkit
Basic IT troubleshooting tools

Work Model

On-demand / field support role
Work assignments will be shared by the Service Delivery Team
Engineers will be contacted via phone or email when support is required
Engineers will receive site location, SPOC details, and reporting time before each assignment
No guaranteed number of working hours
