Compensation for this position will be determined, but not limited to, factors such as responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, alignment with market data, and internal equity. We are seeking a Software Engineer with a background in developing and integrating weapon system simulations to join our rapidly growing Army Group. We have multiple vacancies for entry and mid-level developers ready to make an impact. In this role, you will be the technical engine behind our Joint Simulation Environment integration. You will develop, integrate, and execute complex simulations of Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) systems to evaluate end-to-end mission effectiveness under varied conditions. Key Responsibilities Design, code, and test mathematical models and simulations of IAMD components (e.g., sensors, interceptors, and threat kinematics), including the development of new representations of weapon systems to integrate directly into the simulation framework.Integrate disparate, existing system models into both real-time (e.g., Hardware-in-the-Loop/Software-in-the-Loop) and non-real-time (constructive) simulation frameworks.Develop and maintain simulation data analysis toolsets. RequirementsBachelor's degree in Software Engineering or other STEM field1 to 5 years of applied engineering experience, with a focus on modeling, simulation, and analytical tool development.Strong programming skills required to build and integrate engineering simulations (e.g., C++, Python, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar languages).Active Secret Clearance required, TS preferred, or eligible to gain a Secret clearanceExperience in Python, Java, Matlab, Gitlab, and/or Linux. Additional Desired SkillsIntegration Expertise: Proven ability to integrate models into larger simulation architectures, managing data exchange, simulation timing, and data collection pipelines for post-run analysis.Experience with Docker, Podman, or similar for containerizing M&S applicationsExperience with Army IAMD systems or Missile Defense Agency (MDA) architectures and platforms.Familiarity with the Joint Track Management Capability BridgeExperience with common DoD simulation frameworks such as AFSIM, FSI, DIS, or other environments.  Capstone Research Corporation is an Equal Employment Opportunity CompanyAll Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or status as a protected veteran.
